FITCounseling offers an alternative for the way client and therapist work together. We want to offer an opportunity for the busy and health conscious individual to engage in a wellness activity that promotes emotional/mental fitness and physical activity.

We know that talking about our problems helps us feel better. We also know that exercise, especially walking has many health benefits. The research data is there to support these activities.

At FITCounseling, we provide an opportunity to engage in the healing experience of psychotherapy and the health benefits of walking. The primary focus of the counseling session will always be on the mental health benefits of counseling.

Our approach is designed to take advantage of outdoor areas that are central in location and offer well accessible walking paths. You and your therapist will walk at a comfortable pace and conduct a counseling session just as you would in an office.
